Goodbye, Mom
07.02.2001 On January 29, 2001, at 2:50PM EST, my Mother, at age 50, passed away from complications with lymphoma -- cancer of the lymphnodes. At her funeral, I spoke the following that I wrote minutes before leaving the house to go to the church, but had worked out in my head the day before. "I know that my mother was a skeptic, and she loved watching TV shows about UFOs, aliens, ghosts, and other unexplained phenomena, including reincarnation. I also know that my mother loved flowers, especially roses. So, maybe Mom will be reborn as a rose in our garden, and we can love her and care for her, making sure she grows strong, just like we did before." The pain is beyond words.
Goodbye, Mom.
