I was walking through the Boston Common today, on my way back from the ultra trendy Newbury Street. Up ahead on the walking path I saw the top part of a fishing rod above everyone's head, and the nylon line trailing off into the sky. I looked up and saw a kite flying way, way up in the sky. As I got closer I saw that it was an older, disabled man in a wheelchair, with a small group of onlookers around him. He was using the fishing rod as a convenient way to reel the kite in and out.
